My latest book, Whispering Woods, is about a New England inn, the people who run it, those who visit, and those whose lives are affected by Cathy and Phil Baxter. In my book, Whispering Woods, I recount the devastation of the 9.11 attack specifically on one fictional family, the Baxters who lived and worked and worshiped within blocks of the World Trade Towers. 9.11.2001 We who lived through this horrific day have specific memories. As I was writing my sixth book, Whispering Woods, published two months ago, I recalled this scene with a family whose entire lifestyle was affected by this disaster, as were the lives of the 3000 who were sacrificed to terrorism that day, their friends and families, their businesses, and their entire lifestyles. We grieve still. The Baxter family lived and worked very close to the World Trade Center buildings……
