My Psalm 176 June 25, 2016
O Lord, My Lord, My Savior, My King,
I thank You for Your lovingkindness,
Your tender mercy, Your forgiveness,
Your guiding hand, Your faithfulness.
When in my ignorance, I lived as I pleased,
You brought me to my senses and lead me home.
When I was willful and disobedient,
You taught me the beginning of wisdom
Is seeking You and Your purpose for my being.

My Psalm 175
Thank You, Loving Heavenly Father
For once more bringing me through,
For yet again reviving my spirit
And opening my eyes
To the beauty after the devastation.
You, who created this world
And all that is in it
And pronounced it good,
Have bountifully provided for our every need.
This day, as your gleaming sun rises yet again
The dawn of another day,
Give us the renewal of our minds
To see the glory of Your greatness

My Psalm 174 Philosophy and Prophecy, Orlando, 2016
From everlasting to everlasting,
You are Lord.
You alone are Sovereign.
You created us, You sustain all life,
You direct our paths,
You call us to Yourself.
You have told us to teach Your attributes
From one generation to another,
To proclaim Your honor to our children
And our children’s children.
When our little one asks,
After hearing a mournful orchestra piece,
“Grandma, did someone die?”
And I confess to…..
I was blessed with an earthly dad who fulfilled Psalm 112, and further blessed with a husband who illustrates this for our children. This is in honor of Father’s Day, “My Psalm 174: Fatherhood Is a Relationship”

Heavenly Father, Our God Your relationship to us is a blessing. You, in Your infinite mercy and love Sent Your Beloved Son, Jesus So we could know You as Father, Even, Abba, Daddy.

Heavenly Father, Precious Savior,
Counselor, Holy Spirit, Triune God,
Thank you Lord for Your constancy.
In a world moving too fast,
In which our thoughts are scattered
And our lives lose focus,
You remain steadfastly Alpha and Omega,
Beginning and end, Sovereign and in control.
While we live out our mortality
You are infinite.
While we make our plans,
You direct our steps.
While we love imperfectly,
You define the term.

My Psalm 172
There is a balm in Gilead
Where the sin-sick and world weary
Can go to find succor, healing and rest.
And beside those still waters You lead me still
To restoration and revelation of Your mercy and love.
And perhaps, when my weary feet can gain the altitude,
You’ll lead me once again to the hills, from whence comes my strength.

Sovereign Lord, Creator of the Universe,
Redeemer of all who call on Your Holy Name,
Have mercy on us.
You who created us from before the beginning of time,
You who numbered the stars and know them by name,
You who intimately know the hairs on our heads,
The thoughts of our minds,
The depravity of our souls,
The mission you set before us,

My Psalm 170 On Mass Murder
O Lord, Creator of the Universe
Giver of all good gifts
Righteous judge,
Holy Presence,
Merciful Savior,
Eternal Presence,
We come to You in supplication:
We implore Your blessing
To help us understand the depths of depravity
Human against humans
We suffer this day.
Be merciful to those who grieve
Whose hearts are heavy with sorrow
Too dreadful to bear
Too openly wounded
To soothe with platitudes

Following Pastor Jonathan’s sermon on Ministry Fair Sunday, I offered to compile a book of Covenant members’ and friends’ testimonies of how we came to faith in Jesus Christ.Someone, following the Holy Spirit’s lead, brought you to church, or convinced you in a discussion, or prayed for your salvation, or influenced you to seek Jesus as your Savior……
We have all been influenced in our God-walk by others. I like to call them Cloud of Witnesses. That’s what Paul called them in the book of Hebrews. Legacy is important. Let’s celebrate it.
