MY PSALM 169 (4.17.2016)
O Lord, my Lord and Savior
I was stressed and distressed
My body tired, my mind exhausted
Until I turned to Your Word.
Like the balm in Gilead,
Like the refreshing streams where
You make me lie down in Your peace,
You comforted me, renewed me
Said to me, “I am Your Lord.
Why can’t You let Me be Your strength?”
And with your right hand of fellowship
You lifted my spirit, You grew my strength.

For those of us who are conflicted and disgusted with the political campaign, I offer this, “My Psalm” number 180:
MY PSALM 180:
Heavenly Father, Who has forgiven our sins
And iniquities, and taken us again and again
Into Your loving arms as prodigals,
We thank you and praise Your Holy Name.
For You have forgiven us seventy times seventy
And seek to bring us to Yourself again and again.
For we, like those before us who sinned against…..
In the face of the storm, let these two favorite hymns bless us: and live in Psalm 34 today. Who trusts in God, a strong abode In heaven and earth possesses. Who looks in love to Christ above, No fear his heart oppresses. In Thee alone, dear Lord, we own Sweet hope and consolation; Our shield from foes, our balm for woes, Our great and sure salvation. Though Satan’s wrath beset our path, and worldly scorn assail us;…..
