My Psalm 173
Heavenly Father, Precious Savior,
Counselor, Holy Spirit, Triune God,
Thank you Lord for Your constancy.
In a world moving too fast,
In which our thoughts are scattered
And our lives lose focus,
You remain steadfastly Alpha and Omega,
Beginning and end, Sovereign and in control.
While we live out our mortality
You are infinite.
While we make our plans,
You direct our steps.
While we love imperfectly,
You define the term.
Forgive us for thinking in the instant,
The latest, the momentary,
When You control all destiny
In timeless boundaries and broad strokes.
Once more we are reminded of life’s brevity
But know You are beyond all time and place
Because You created us to know eternity.
Strengthen us where we falter;
Teach us where we fail to see life’s lessons;
Fill us with wisdom for such a time as this.
We thank You for each day in which we can praise You
For Your glory, Your provision, Your love, Your balance
You bring to us, Your children.
Help us to focus on You, the Author and Finisher,
Our Lord, Master, Creator, and ultimate Destiny.
In Jesus’ Name for showing us Your mercy and grace. Amen.

She and her husband soon celebrate their 47th anniversary, and have lived in New York, New Jersey, Iowa, and now the paradise of Palm Bay, Florida. Their two grown children and daughter-in-love, all orchestra musicians, and our beautiful granddaughters Kaley and Emily live nearby. Hobbies, and probably future topics on her blog: gardening, symphonic music (especially supporting the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra as a volunteer and proud parent of a violinist, a cellist, and an oboist), singing, book clubs, and co-teaching a weekly small-group Bible study for seniors. She volunteers and substitute teaches at Covenant Christian School, and serves as a board member of the Best Yet Set senior group at church. Foundationally, she daily enjoys God's divine appointments called Godincidences, which show God's providence and loving kindness.
