MY PSALM 169 (4.17.2016)
O Lord, my Lord and Savior
I was stressed and distressed
My body tired, my mind exhausted
Until I turned to Your Word.
Like the balm in Gilead,
Like the refreshing streams where
You make me lie down in Your peace,
You comforted me, renewed me
Said to me, “I am Your Lord.
Why can’t You let Me be Your strength?”
And with your right hand of fellowship
You lifted my spirit, You grew my strength.
Because of Your worthy counsel
I found the peace which passes all understanding,
Certainly mine.
Therefore, I will rejoice once again,
Renewed with eagle-strength,
In utter reliance on You,
I will mount up with wings like those eagles.
I will praise Your Name in all things,
And I will remember that my place
Is in a closer walk with You,
And an attitude of gratitude
That in turning to You,I will find Your grace and mercy
To be more than adequate, more than sufficient:
My everything. I will lie down in peace
And find restoration. Resting in Jesus’ arms. Amen
