Sharing the Plenty in 2020: “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between prosperity and disaster, between life and death. I have commanded you today to love the Lord your God and to keep His commands…If you do this, you will live,. . . and the Lord your God will bless you.” (Deuteronomy 30:15-16) Let us personally and nationally repent and take this seriously today and ask God to send us one person (or more by His grace and design) today so we can share this truth.
The riots in our cities the last five days tell us we need this message as a nation. We have aborted babies, allowed some people in charge to forget they are in office and at their job for the public good, to protect and serve, and we have ignored God’s laws in the name of tribal rights and inclusion. We are not called to dominate each other, whether by harsh rule or by bullying behavior. We are not to use the tongue to defame, to destroy, or to diminish another person. We are all created by the same God and given inalienable rights, according to our nation’s goals. Yet we know the pursuit of happiness does not come at the expense of another’s rights to freedom or to opportunity. We are called to repent this day, in the Name of the God who commanded us to love Him first, then to not sin against our fellow man by stealing, bearing false witness, and certainly not by committing adultery or murder. I am praying we individually and collectively as a nation repent, ask forgiveness, turn around, and live under the commandments or we will suffer greatly as individuals and as a nation. Who stands with me?
