Although we deserve God’s wrath for breaking every one of his commandments and for rejecting our half of the Covenant promise, we know in His power, He can heal our world, redeem these times, and teach us yet again to trust His sovereignty. Man only thinks he knows it all! I am praying our nation falls on its knees in humility, not in the hubris and pride which has brought us to rebellion. As predicted, in these last days we will see fires, earthquakes, murder, false leaders, generational defiance, sexual perversion, wars and rumors of wars before the Lord comes in His glory to judge the world
My Psalm 503
Dear Lord and Father of all mankind,
You who created man in Your image
With creative ability, with knowledge of good and evil,
With intelligence and ability to plan and fulfill plans,
With hope, patience, long-suffering, compassion,
With memory, and commitment, and promises, and hope,
I call on all of these today. We are in a fallen state.
Because we have sinned and come short of Your glory,
We mourn what “might have been,” what “could have been,”
We have broken Your first command
To have no other gods before You,
To honor Your Name above all
To follow Your will for us,
And to keep Your law.
So today, we suffer the consequences of sin.
Father, we come to You, beseeching You
To restore order yet again to this fallen world.
You covenanted with Your people;
Your people broke the covenant.
You allowed kings to rule,
You allowed us to go our own way,
And we have sinned mightily against Your plan.
Today our world is filled with pestilence, with grief.
We hear, as You predicted, of wars and rumors of war.
We live among debauchery, immorality,
Defiance of Your mandate
To love You first,
Then to love our fellow man.
You taught us to love our enemies.
That is so difficult this day.
You sent us a Savior, The Prince of Peace.
We love Him dearly in gratitude
For providing yet another way to see Your character.
You are holy, righteous, just,
You provided the way to salvation
So we could in our souls, find the better way,
The humility to sacrifice all
To Your holy will.
I pray this day for revival of Your people,
For a great outcry for Your mercy,
A worldwide hunger for Your compassion on Your people,
Yet, once again, a sorrowful repentance
For our actions, our thoughts,
Our careless disregard against Your plan for us.
Raise up leaders who listen to Your Word.
Raise up leaders who remind us to return to Your plan.
Raise up leaders, who pray for Yourguidance
Not seeking the experts or choosing their selfish paths.
We dare not trust, as You have taught us,
In our might.
In our armies.
In our power.
In our past.
In our pride.
In our accomplishments.
In ourselves.
Our hope is in You,
And we earnestly seek Your plan.
We pray, Maranatha, Come, Lord Jesus
And show us, worldwide, the two choices:
To bow to You in reverence,
Or to bow to You in fear and sorrow.
We pray for forgiveness, we pray for healing,
Like Jeremiah, we plead for Your mercy,
Yet understand Your wrath.
We see and hear what man can do and does
And reject the lawlessness,
As a nation, we break each commandment
In defiance.
You, O righteous heavenly Father, have every right
To reject our pleas,
For we have broken every law You gave us:
You shall not kill, you shall not steal,
You shall not commit adultery,
You shall not bear false witness,
You shall not defile the Sabbath,
You shall have no other gods before You—
We deserve the earthquakes, the fires, the pandemic,
We deserve the rioters, the Woke, the CRT, the murder.
Socialism, Communism—all tried before and failed,
For we have each chosen our own way,
Not Your plan for redemption.
Today we pray for those afflicted with COVID
Today we pray for the workers who care for these victims.
Today we pray for our children being taught
Without mention of You in our schools.
Today we pray for victims of earthquakes and storms
You promised to send to bring us to our senses.
We thank You for Your providence when we continue
To rely on our pride and stubborn nature
Instead of humbling ourselves prostrate before You.
Today we see Taliban killers rejoicing in Kabul
We face storms, earthquakes, fires, and murder,
Fear, discord, family stress, homelessness,
Dismissal of freedoms, servitude to sin’s slavery,
And yet, as a nation, refuse to plead for Your mercy.
Forgive our hubris and pride
And heal our nation
And through her,
Cleanse the world, once more
Of Satan’s curse
By the power You possess
For You, O Lord, are the Ruler of the Universe
Who owns it all, and made it to be good.
Help us, yet again, to see Your face through it all.
