Without question, when we’re strong, we feel the grace of God and inner peace. When we’re struggling, whether physically, emotionally, financially, or especially spiritually, we tend to withdraw, to cower, to worry, to seek relief, and to utter the word, “Why?”
The Bible is full of stories, examples, verses, and advice as to what to do about this common malady of the human condition. Where do the heroes of the Bible turn in times of difficulty? In every case, especially after they try their human attempts to solve the problems? They pray. And God answers those prayers.
We do not get transported out the the circumstance, usually, but God gives us the strength, the courage, the determination, the patience, or the answers to baffling questions in due time, often after learning the life lessons He wants us to learn for His glory.
Then we give testimony to God’s goodness for bringing us through the difficulty to triumph, or to an understanding that relying on God’s strength strengthens our faith. And that’s the lesson we are to learn in the first place.
So why don’t we learn this advice and try God first???? Psalm 34:10 says: “The lion may grow weak and hungrye, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.” God bless your search for grace and peace today, whatever you may face.
