I begin my day by sharing a Bible verse to my children and grandchildren. Today’s verse is: “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously” And my other text this morning is Blessed are those who are merciful, for they will obtain mercy. And Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God, an Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God.” and then, I read Susan Larson’s words from her desk calendar “Blessings for Every Day” She gave me today’s marching orders: “May you read books, listen to music, and enjoy the company of those who remind you who are are in Him. It’ll strengthen your soul! And may you steward this day in a way that replenishes you for the journey ahead.”
Well, it seems to me that what I wrote to my family: “Go our today ad give of your God-gifts to others and share kindness, love, and grace to everyone God sends your way to bless. It doesn’t cost a dime but reaps millions in spreading God’s loving message. It’s a God Thing!
i think God’s telling me to exercise all the fruit of the spirit today with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Will you join me in this today? Whatever challenges we face, whatever news reports we read, whatever we read, whatever problems rise to our attention, I’ll remember Randy Pope’s sermon on God’s sovereignty, and Jerry Klemm’s sermon and more important, his faith walk, that troubles indeed may assail us, but we know God is in charge and blesses us with joy in the morning. God bless your day and let’s make Jesus very real in what we do, write, and say in every situation.
