One of the best things about being a Christian is that through Christ who intervenes for us in the throneroom of heaven, invests us with power to conquer in His name. This weekend, I saw examples of this once again. On Friday i went to several places, seeking a new place for my sister Dottie to be here in Florida in an assisted living facility. With prayer and good counsel, we found such a place.
Secondly, we worshipped in our new sanctuary yesterday and were reminded once again that God hears and answers prayer.
Third, we prayed for Kaley’s performances in solo and ensemble competition over the weekend, that she would ably perform after all her practice and years of lessons on the violin. She received superior ratings from the judges on her solo and the duet she played with a cellist classmate.
The scriptures are very clear. This is what Ephesians 3 says: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever, Amen.”
Yes. He said it. I believe it. I share it with all who read this affirmation message.
Now, may all wars cease– in families, in cities, in countries, in the skies of the Middle East and the rebellion in our hearts against God’s plan for redemption. And may we be blessed as a nation in times when His Name is blasphemed and ignored.
If you would like to participate, there is an evangelism program scheduled at Covenant Church this coming Friday and Saturday. Go to covenantpalmbay.org for information. See you there.
