This has already been a day! It’s 7:42 a.m. Our daughter’s car wouldn’t start, so I drove ours to her house, she dropped me off back home (still in pj’s, no combed hair, etc.–hope nobody but God saw me; He already knows me in and out!), and so the day begins.
Wuss that I am, I slept little last night. I had an answering machine call to get in touch with my doctor following my urinalysis yesterday. I know that means trouble. Why can’t I take my own advice and cast my cares away?
So, then I turn to my thought for today on my calendar, and I am reminded once again, that this will definitely be a day in which I feel the Lord’s presence, and that whatever happens, together with my Loving Father’s help, it will be all right. Here’s today’s thought: “The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear Him. For He understands how weak we are; He knows we are only dust. But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear Him.”
Now, to the joy of babysitting Kaley and Emily. They will brighten the day immeasurably. Additionally, I remember fondly that this was, 34 years ago, my first full day when I could call myself Mommy. That was indeed, and still is, an answer to promise from my Loving Father. I hope you too trust in God. He will give you an abundant life that goes way beyond what we could live by ourselves.
