May these words from Ecclesiastes 3 bless your day: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his toil–this is the gift of God. I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him.” Isn’t our God awesome, and isn’t it wonderful that we have His Word to us to encourage and to remind and to bless and to wrap our lives around? Imagine, we can know God through His Word and through the blessings He reveals to us each day! Mindblowing!
Reminded last week of the influence scripture has on the believer’s heart. Jerry Klemm’s sermon on how we know the Bible is true is a classic. I urge all to read it at Covenant Presbyterian Palm Bay’s website. Totally awesome. To think that the God of the Universe wants us to “know” Him! Other gods are extensions of man’s intellect. Only the true God reaches down to us because He loves us. Talk about Mindblowing!
In the View from Here, it’s just way beyond my comprehension that when I need to feel enccouraged, a passage like this jumps off the page, literally, and God speaks just the word I need when I need it. Thanksgiving and praise are the only responses I can think of. Godincidences indeed.
