Lenten Prayer “My Psalm 324 Rhetoric” March 8, 2018
O Lord of the Universe,
I come with humble heart before Your throne,
Knowing that in Your mercy, You hear my pleas,
Prepare my paths, provide for my every need.
You created the heavens and the earth
And pronounced them good
And I echo that,
Admiring the light that shines by night
And the sun that warms the day.
I thank you for Jesus, the Light of the World
And…..
My Psalm 315
Almighty God, Creator of the Universe,
Yet My Heavenly Father,
I praise Your Holy and Mighty Name
In thanksgiving for Your promises.
I thank You that You agreed to be my God
And to provide for my salvation in Your Son, Jesus.
I thank You that You desire a relationship with me,
Your sinful child
And that You promise to be My Heavenly Father
Both here and in eternity. I praise You, Lord.
I thank You…..
Lenten Prayer “My Psalm 314 February 26, 2018
Almighty Father, Prince of Peace, Holy Spirit my comfort,
What joy to come with songs of joy
To pray to Your Presence in heaven this day,
Lifting Your Name, Almighty in overflowing praise.
Dear Father, You sent Your Son to fill our hearts
With the joy of our salvation.
The fountains and springs and rives and oceans
Shouts Your Name in exultant praise and worship
The very stones rise up…..
Lenten Prayer “My Psalm 313 Restoration” February 25, 2018
Our Father Who art in heaven,
We bless You today for giving us forgiveness
Through the immense work of Your Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord.
For through His sacrifice, through Your love,
We have been forgiven and restored by Your mercy.
Like the rain that refreshes us on a hot summer day,
We welcome Your gift that takes us from desperation
To grace.
We did nothing to earn Your merit,
…..
Lenten Prayer “My Psalm 311 Resting in God” February 23, 2018
Dear Heavenly Father, Abba, Father
This day I rejoice that in all the clamor of life,
In all the distractions, in all the busyness,
I can rest in Your Presence.
With the Psalmist, I can attest to this truth:
“I sought the Lord, and He answered me;
He delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to Him are radiant;
Their faces are never covered with shame.

Lenten Prayer “My Psalm 310 Repentance” February 22, 2018
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to You in repentance,
Asking forgiveness for the times I have lived my life
As I wanted to, not heeding Your laws and direction.
I make no excuses
Such as, I didn’t know what I was doing,
Or I didn’t think anybody cared about me,
Or What did it matter what I did.
I didn’t hurt anyone, I thought.
Now I know I hurt Your…..
Almighty God, Sovereign over all,
I dare come into Your Presence,
Confessing that I am unworthy through sin’s taint
To do so.
You created me, wondrously created me,
And the whole of creation around me.
Yet I have attempted to make this world
Revolve around me in self-centeredness and pride,
And have usurped power only given me by You.
And allow my worship to come to You.
I always knew You existed. I said, “I believe in God.”
I…..
Lenten “My Psalm 307” Seeking Wisdom February 20, 2018
Almighty God, Creator of the Universe, Abba, Father,
I pray today for wisdom, Your guidance, Your direction.
Around me I hear constant babble, competing voices,
Rabid arguments, statements of fools parading as truth.
I need only hear Your still, small voice
As I come to You in prayer.
Proverbs chapter 18 describes the world we live in:
1Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all…..
Lenten Prayer “My Psalm 306” February 19, 2018 In honor of Emily Pippin Abba, Father,God of creation, Lover of our souls, You have known us eternally And formed us according to Your purpose To live in this time and place. Your Psalm 139 tells us That even as we were being formed in the womb You knew the time of our death. Your infinite plan for us even numbers our hairs. Why then, does mankind long to do as…..
Lenten “My Psalm 305” February 18, 2018
With rejoicing we come, Dear Lord,
To Your sabbath, a day set aside to worship
And to rest in Your Presence.
For at Your creation of the world
You accomplished magnificence and order,
And pronounced it good
And rested on the seventh day.
We honor and bless Your Holy Name.
As Your people come together to worship,
Let us put aside all that would distracr or detract,
Let us confess our sin,…..
