To You, O Lord, Who gave me eyes to see,
I thank You and bless Your Name.
For giving me the joy
Of seeing dark star-studded skies
Turn to the ribboned dawn of sunrise,
I thank You and bless Your Name.
For painting the panoply of horizon
As far as eye can see
With pastel hues in swaths of beauty
I thank You and bless Your Name.
For the promise of the rose bud

Just finished final edits on Bless You Bouquets: A Memoir. It has been a fascinating journey, reviewing the people, places, ideas, and factors which have shaped me as a person. I am eternally grateful to those who loved me, guided me, and helped me understand that giving to others, even little flower bouquets, is such a joy.
My hope is that many will read this book and go and do likewise. It is important to leave a legacy, to tell…..
It’s the little things that bless our daily walks in this life.
It’s listening to a new song our congregation will learn this week in worship, presented to us on Facebook and ITunes. Technology is not always as blessing, but joining in worship with Australians Christians praising our Savior touched my heart.
It’s my sleepy kitty finally relaxing after frantically surviving a very close thunderstorm last evening, resting in the forgetfulness of peaceful contentment. We can learn a life lesson…..
It occurs to me that among all the nastiness in the news, the daily sightings of corruption and evil, the disasters which plague our world, the disease which reminds us of all-too-present mortality, that God blesses us daily with beauty enough to compensate. Beauty generates happiness, and although it is as fleeting as an image in a mirror or a dream which fades with morning’s light, that beauty is a God-designed balm for our souls.
