The Old Testament story of Noah shows God’s Sovereignty and plan for His Creation.

THINK ABOUT IT
In this story of Noah and the ark, God is showing us all the things we have already learned about Him. Let’s start with His control of the whole world. He called all the animals to the ark, he caused it to rain and to stop raining, He made a rainbow, and He knew trees would grow again.
We also know that man had disobeyed God so much that He was disappointed, and saved only a few of His people to try to return man to doing the right things.
He also had a plan. He knew Noah was the right man for the job, and saved Noah and his sons and their families. He told Noah just how to build the ark, told him when the rains would come, and saved all the species of animals.
Finally, God keeps His promises. He promised to save Noah and his family. He promises to never again flood the whole earth. He promises there will always be day and night, and cold and heat, and growing seasons, and that He will continue to take care of His world. Finally, He gives man the hope that every time we see rainbows, we will know that He is keeping His promises.
PRAYER:
Dear Heavenly Father, We thank You for being a God who does keep His promises, and that You will show us rainbows in the sky in case we forget. We thank you that Noah obeyed You and promise we will try to do that too. Thank You for saving the animals for us to enjoy, and for giving us seasons so we can grow our food. We love You. Amen.
