I believe in Godincidents, when God interrupts my day to show His Presence! It happens often enough to call attention to itself and increase my faith and help me once more declare: “God’s Got This!” I named my first book and its second iteration, “It’s a God Thing!” and “It’s Surely a God Thing! I believe that God freely gives to us so that we may freely give to others, and when we pray for His control, He grants the very moment, brings it to our attention, and causes us to act or interact on His behalf. Proverbs 16:9 says, “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” Jerry Klemm at Covenant Church has been preaching a series on faith, using Genesis as the basis. He suggests, and I concur, that often after a “mountaintop” experience, the testing comes, using several examples. You can find his sermons at covenantpalmbay.org. Susie Larson, in “Blessings for Every Day,” suggests being open to God’s leading: “May you– in spite of your fears–walk boldly in faith. May you know in the depths of your being how “for you” God is. May you embrace your sense of purpose with tenacity and hope. And may you walk so intimately with God that He is able to divinely interrupt your day whenever it suits Him.” Those are the Godincidences I’m talking about. Matthew 10:7-8 makes it even more intentional for such a time as this. “Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast our demons. Give as freely as you have received! Be the channel through which Godincidences touch others.
