It’s hard to be discouraged at events, financial difficulties, health scares, or disputes when we read Romans chapter 8. For believers, one eternal fact is true, without equivocation, without beginning or end: God is sovereign; His plan is in place. He sees the Big Picture when, as the Lord’s Prayer says, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are, to use a literary term, in medias res, or in the middle. We see only the day to day; He sees the eternal. Let this verse comfort you, or, if you are not yet a believer, cause you to seek this truth to give your life a destiny purpose:. “I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the power of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—Indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
Go forth today with the confidence that all is well if we’re asking God’s guidance. He will surely answer and we can say, with all confidence, Amen (not a-woman).
