The more civil unrest I see in our country, the more excited I am to think about this verse in 1 Corinthians chapter 1: Now you ahe every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. Our weekend training seminar called Express Your Faith, conducted by the awesome Randy Pope encourages me more and more to help others see the blessings of the abundant life achieved only through Jesus Christ’s preeminence in our lives. Only then will we rejoice rather than cower in eternal fear at His second coming.
Although I have been concentrating on the upcoming presence of my sister Dottie here in Florida and all the details we have to work out to make that possible, I know it is the right thing to do. Caring for loved ones is not a chore bur an opportunity to show our love to one who needs so desperately to get out of a bad situation in New York. I only hope that with all the planning and problem solving the outcome will be worth the effort. It keeps me awake at night. I am so sleep deprived that I almost cannot function. It’s my own fault. We took on too much this week to the point of exhaustion. Next week is much the same. I can only hope that step by step I can accomplish all that lies ahead.
It’s amazing to me how high the highs are, such as the dedication service for our new church facility and the two awesome Space Coast Symphony Concerts over the weekend can then descend to the canyons of despair and difficulty in dealing with Dottie’s affairs. I’m longing for just plain living for a few days. We’ll just see how that plays out.
So, while the national and world news is disturbing, the details of personal trials are so much more real right now. I can’t do a thing about campus riots and difficulties internationally. But I can pray that peace will come to our troubled minds, that revival will replace riots, and that patriotism will once again prevail in the country we know is worth saving. While Israel and Ukraine fight for their very lives in open conflict, we’re watching sharp decline in loyalty to Constitutional tenets in our justice system, our financial dealings, and congressional lethargy. Mranatha, Lord Jesus, but we know You are tarrying until each called one bends his or her knee to You, Lord of the Universe.

She volunteers and substitute teaches at Covenant Christian School, and serves as a board member of the Best Yet Set senior group at church.
