The Bible talks about committing your ways to the Lord. When we pray that God’s will be done, we are turning over our plans to the King of the Universe, knowing that He has a specific purpose for which we were made. He has a plan for each person’s life. Nothing is by chance. Believers know that.
We often experience divine encournters. I call them Godincidences. For example, the name of someone may be on our minds. Only later do we discover that at that exact moment, a life-experience for that person was occurring. Whenever I think of a person, I stop for a moment and silently pray, “Lord, if …. needs you right now, please be the source of strength and bless him or her.” I pray for people involved when I hear an ambulance racing to a scene. I pray for teachers as they begin the school day. i pray for our granddaughters.
Proverbs 16:3 says: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans.” He knows what our agenda is for the day, even when we don’t. We are His ambassadors as we go through life, and we may speak words of wisdom without even knowing before hand what those words will be. Our courtesy to others, our smiles, our greetings may make someone else’s burdens lighter.
Are we always tuned in? No. But when God needs me, I pray I will be willing to act on the thoughts of those on my mind. I’ve noticed the importance of that many times. I am not just in the right place at the right time. It was in God’s timing, a Godincidence.
