Both of my recently published books contain messages about love, true marriage, courtship and dating, marriage ceremonies, and romance. They would make good presents for your beloved!
The first, It’s a God Thing!, shows a young couple’s romance, marriage ceremony, and early married life. John Phelps and his bride Deirdre Piaget are the central focus of this book. The book, published by WestBow Press in December of 2012, includes suspense, romance, terrorism, courtship, pastoral ministry, and End Times events which envelop the reader in this fast-paced story. Set mostly in New York City, with trailing stories in Indonesia, Michigan, and Long Island, I take the reader to places and times which will engage you, the reader, in the story.
The second, Bless You Bouquets, is a story of my life and the people who have influenced me. There are wonderful memories of sound marriages, interesting personalities and places where I have lived, and the beautiful world of gardening and flowers. The reader will view beautiful garden settings, relax in pretty places, and enjoy stories and poems in garden interludes scattered throughout the ten places where I have lived.
Both books are available at Amazon.com under my name, Betty Whitaker Jackson. You have found my website; now find my books! Enjoy the read!
A career teacher, with forty years of teaching language arts/English, Betty Jackson enjoys wordsmithing, writing, and reading as a vocation and avocation.Retirement is her "age of frosting," a chance to pursue postponed hobbies with gusto. She and her husband soon celebrate their 47th anniversary, and have lived in New York, New Jersey, Iowa, and now the paradise of Palm Bay, Florida. Their two grown children and daughter-in-love, all orchestra musicians, and our beautiful granddaughters Kaley and Emily live nearby. Hobbies, and probably future topics on her blog: gardening, symphonic music (especially supporting the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra as a volunteer and proud parent of a violinist, a cellist, and an oboist), singing, book clubs, and co-teaching a weekly small-group Bible study for seniors. She volunteers and substitute teaches at Covenant Christian School, and serves as a board member of the Best Yet Set senior group at church. Foundationally, she daily enjoys God's divine appointments called Godincidences, which show God's providence and loving kindness.
