When in the Ten Commandments God directed us to do all our work in the six days of the week and to rest on the seventh day, some may say, like the sign in my laundry room: “A Woman’s Work is Never Done!” However, there is grace when we meet goals and can finally put projects to the completed place and move on to others. Today was such a day.
A week ago I was reeling under reports that my sister had a brain bleed and was in ICU in the second hospital where they had transported her. And a dear friend went to glory the same day. That left me with lots of unfinished business last Sunday. But, during the week our small group dealt with Jay’s passing as we studied the Ecclesiastes passage “a time to live and a time to die; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.” My sister was home from the hospital by Wednesday. We finally got to a painting project on the back porch that we’d postponed for a very long time. And, today I published book number 28. So the week ended well, and now I can turn to worship with a sense of peace and thanksgiving for the grace only God can give.
I invite you to worship the Lord tomorrow in your local church, or in mine, either livestream or in person. www.covenantpalmbay.org. May you find the refreshment, peace, and grace you seek in doing so.
