I was again struck how refreshing good music well performed can help my spirits soar and refresh me after a long day. Yesterday was just such a time. I was in workshops and lectures all day on my next favorite subject, writing. Always thinking about new adventures, my mind drifted to music. Why don’t books come with accompanying cd’s? Then, Emily and I went to the Space Coast Symphony’s production of movie music, and I rejoiced as we revisited Sound of Music, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, Wicked, and some of the other shows I’m less familiar with. The music has such energy, which was refreshing after such a long day of trying to engage with six different speakers, some of whom I related to, and others I could have happily lived life without meeting. When I turned on the radio after dropping Emily off, I heard Christian music, and found it to be a solace and a joy. I hope music blesses you today!
