First, Happy Birthday, William Shakespeare
Now, this verse from 1 Corinthians 1: 7-8
“Now, you have every spiritual gift you need, as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.”
As we listen to news reports, attacks on our nation, our culture, even our language, can attacks on the church be far off? Other nations have seen takeovers of the media, government agencies gaining control, misguided policies, loss of individual freedom, national mandates on education, and then limitations on religious freedom. . . could it be possible we are to follow the patterns other nations have? We as Christians have the one hope that this life is not the end. We are promised eternity with our Creator, for He loved the world so much she sent His Son to save our souls which ultimately belong to Him. We are not citizens of this world, for it is corrupt. The sins of the Ten Commandments rule here: dishonor of God, murder, pride, jealousy, misguided sex, stealing, acts against God and our fellow man. There is a place where there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears, where our joy will be complete worship of our Lord. Maranatha.
