It’s such a joy to be grandma to Kaley. Today is her fourth birthday, and it’s hard to remember pre-Kaley. That’s the impact she has made on our lives!
She is a joyous, talented, considerate, sweet, bright, and energetic child, much as her daddy was at this age. She is organized, has impeccable manners, knows Scripture, always looks after her sister, and is a credit to her loving mommy. She’s a perfect combination of both her parents, and we couldn’t love her more.
Her little fingers, so eager to hold our hands, are learning to hold crayons and markers and pencils, to color, to write letters, to paint pine cone flowers, and to learn to play the piano. She’s learning to spell and to add, way ahead of her peers, knows all the instruments of the orchestra and the sounds they make, loves to watch ballet and Sesame Street, Mickey Mouse, and Doc MacStuffins, and Sound of Music, and loves the beach.
Reading time is a joy. Reciting scripture is a pleasure. Cooking is a passion, already. Running and twirling and hopping are just plain fun. She has welcomed little sister Emily, especially now that they can interact with each other. Together, they will be a force to be reckoned with. And Grandma and Grandpa, and Noni and Pop Pop, and Aunt Nancy, and Aunt Julie and Uncle Dan, and Great Grandma Grace and cousins Benjamin and Timothy wish her a resounding, Happy Birthday!

Hobbies, and probably future topics on her blog: gardening, symphonic music (especially supporting the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra as a volunteer and proud parent of a violinist, a cellist, and an oboist), singing, book clubs, and co-teaching a weekly small-group Bible study for seniors. She volunteers and substitute teaches at Covenant Christian School, and serves as a board member of the Best Yet Set senior group at church. Foundationally, she daily enjoys God's divine appointments called Godincidences, which show God's providence and loving kindness.
