Psalm 92:1-2 says: “It is good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name, O Most High, proclaiming Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night.” Susie Larson writes in “Blessings for Every Day,” the following: “May you begin to see with Spirit eyes all the ways God is moving because of your prayers. May you begin to hear with heavenly ears the song heaven sing over you. May you begin to know–on a deeper level–how important and precious your faith is to God. And may you begin to know that God’s promises are absolutely true, and live accordingly. You couldn’t be more loved if you tried. He’s sold on you.” And what is our response?
Morning and evening, all day through, we sing songs of praise to honor our God. Those who know me are aware how much music means to me. It’s a major part of my being. God graced me with children who are accomplished musicians, a violinist and a cellist, and they are teaching another generation of children to love and perform music. The scriptures of full of references to God’s love of music as well. Worship music has changed, but I can’t help think that when we get to the heavenly realms, we’ll hear music in all its iteration, and it will be glorious!
