On my writing journey, inspired by the book of Psalms in the Bible, this was the first one, written May 8, 2016. May it bless us today. By no means is it meant to be scriptural; a psalm is a song, and I call them My Psalms. I am now working on the 500 series. One day I hope to publish all of them.
My Psalm 151
O Lord, Eternal Father, Savior of my soul, Guiding Spirit,
I come to you with thanksgiving for Who You are in my life.
I humbly ask Your guidance and blessing
As I see to worship You in truth and holiness.
I confess my inadequacy, yet You call me Yours,
So I depend on Your mercy and come before You.
Bless my efforts to praise You in my writing,
Indeed, in all my life, as I yearn to serve You with my best.
Forgibve me when Self takes over;
Teach me Your ways yet again.
Ma my words be a blessing to You and to those who read them.
thank You for welcoming Your children into Your Presence.
Even to Your throne room as we pray for guidance,
Strength, joy, peace, and ask for Your will to be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
I thank You for Your Presence, and for the rich blessing
Of knowing You through Your precious Son, our Savior.
In His Name. Amen.

She volunteers and substitute teaches at Covenant Christian School, and serves as a board member of the Best Yet Set senior group at church.
