My Psalm 161
Father of mercy, Lord of our lives,
I exalt Your Name in the heavens and on earth,
Praising You for Your might and victory,
Your creation, and Your strength,
Your ever present caring concern,
And Your justice.
I surrender to Your Lordship,
Placing my will and myself
In Your care, knowing that
I can do little in my own strength,
But completely rely on Your presence
Morning, noon, night, every second.
Thank You for the presence of Your Holy Spirit,
For my salvation through Your Son, Jesus, the Christ,
And for my hope in spite of my sinful nature.
Guide me in the paths where You wish me to go,
Place those before me with whom You wish me to speak,
And be the Godincidence which blesses me and others
When we least expect You to touch us in special way.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen
