My Psalm 180
Heavenly Father, Lord of all creation,
Mighty King, Everlasting Comforter,
Thank You for this new day
And for being nearer to me
Even than breath itself.
I humbly bow to Your Presence
With thanksgiving and rise to praise You
With upraised arms and a grateful heart.
In the darkness of the night
You are present with me.
In the uncertainties of my mind’s imagination,
You provide shelter and understanding.
In the dawning of a new day
With unknowns and questions and doubts,
You have it all under Your sovereign control.
In the heat of the day, the complexities, the busyness,
You speak with Your still small voice
Words of assurance of Your guidance.
I pray that You will be very present
In my thoughts, in my decisions,
In my conversations, in my day to day encounters
That I may do life under Your direction
And not merely mine.
Be my vision, my thoughts, my understanding,
My relationships, my all in all
In this new day, that I may be a blessing
To Your honor and glory.
In Jesus’ Precious Name
And for His sake. Amen.

She volunteers and substitute teaches at Covenant Christian School, and serves as a board member of the Best Yet Set senior group at church.
