My Psalm 184
Lord, I am thankful for all the beauty
You have graced us with.
Yesterday was a time of fellowship,
Of worship, of friendship, of music, of sunshine
And flowers, and the Glory of Your salvation.
Today will be a day of activity,
Of work, of planning, of accomplishment
After Your Sabbath.
I pray for strength for the day,
For times of fellowship and prayer with You,
For scripture which gladdens the heart
And chastises my soul.
For a sense of purpose
In serving others,
For enough grace and mercy
To be active for Your kingdom.
I know there is evil in our world.
I know Satan attacks our minds
And tries to make us fearful.
I know he roams about seeking
Those he may destroy.
Place, Dear Lord, a hedge of protection
Around me and those I love.
Allow us to see spiritual warfare
For what it is,
And armor us with the barriers
We need to curse the darkness
And flee toward the Light
Which is You.
Bind our thoughts to be Your thoughts,
Chain the locks allowing bitterness and
Hearts of stone to become part of our thinking.
Give us hearts tender toward those
Who are suffering, those who need
Your loving heart.
That is all of us, O Lord.
In thankful praise
Knowing You are Sovereign and accomplish all things
According to Your plan.
In the praised Name of Jesus, my Lord. Amen
