Happy Lord’s Day. It is the Sabbath, set aside by our Creator, Redeemer, and the one who knows us best. We need a day of rest, a day to worship our Holy God, a day to spend in reflection, with family and friends who gather to worship and praise Him.
Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “God saved you by His special favor who you believed. And you can’t take credit for this: it is a gifr from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” This is the good news of the Gospel, that God loved the world so much, He sent His Son into the world, not to condemn the world (though we surely deserve His displeasure) but that the world should be saved. Who can say that the world is following God, in the past or the present. Yet, he loves us enough to show us salvation through Christ who is as relevant today as ever, and Who wants to meet us where we are and bring us to Him in every way every day. If you have never heart that before, or if you’re lackluster in your faith, or if you’re just curious, gather with me, if you’re local or can worship remotely on your device, at covenantpalmbay.org. He’s waiting for you to spend this day with Him. God loves you and so do I.
