Oh, how we need the Sabbath to gather together with our brothers and sisters in praise, worship, fellowship, and the sacraments, gathered around the words of Scripture. Deuteronomy 31:8 says: “The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” These are trying times, but the fellowship of the saints can make all situations better, just because we understand this principle. If you are not yet part of a church’s ministry, today’s the day to change that. It’s okay to “church shop” until you find a fellowship where you can see yourself as part of the family of God. See whether the worshippers worship with passion. Listen as the pastor explains God to you. See whether there is a bond of fellowship, love, and concern for those present and for those who are outside the walls. See if this church thinks of itself first or is actively reaching to spread the gospel both locally and globally. Look at its mission statement. See whether you were noticed and welcomed. If you’re in Florida, or want to worship on line, go to covenantpalmbay.org website or facebook page. We’ll be glad to know you found us.
