As many of you know, I’m immersed in a Beth Moore Bible Study called Believing in God. I so appreciate meeting with a magnificent group of about thirty ladies, focusing on the Biblical principles and active presence of God in our lives.
As my readers of It’s a God Thing! know, I believe that our providential God provides for us continuous presence and active participation in our daily lives. There is no conincidence for the committed Christian. God not only has our backs, but directs our very steps at precise moments so that we can rest in His presence, observe his power in our circumstances, and bless us richly. Does that mean we have no difficulties? Does that mean we never face discouragement or despair. No. But it does mean that He provides the still waters of rest and the sure comfort of peace. And He answers prayer.
I am thankful for the mentors, the teachers, the pastors, and so many who have instructed me in the faith. I am eternally grateful for the Scriptures I can internalize through study of His blessings throughout the ages. I am enlightened as I read about miraculous events and answers to prayer. I seek to encourage others in their life walks.
So, check this out! Psalm 77:13-14 says: “Your ways, O God, are holy. What God is so great as our God? You are the God who performs miracles; You display your power among the peoples.” Read Matthew’s gospels to see records of miracles. Read Psalm 146 before you begin your day today. Pray for Godincidences to reveal themselves to you and your family today. Look for His signs and wonders, His perfect timing, His making our paths straight and our mountains into plains by problem solving beyond our minute expectations.
Expect to see Him, and rejoice when He brings your loved ones safely through another day. Remember to thank Him, not just at formal prayer time, but instead live a life of thanksliving, when our every moment we living in expectation of things for which to be thankful to our loving God. The results will be: a greater appreciation for His presence and providence, a lessened reliance on our own efforts, a recognition that He is in control of the whole universe, and the very hairs on our heads, and that we can trust Him to guide and direct our paths and those of our loved ones. Commit all to His care, expecting to see His presence in every event and circumstance, and a huge burden of responsiblity on us, our government, etc. will be lifted from our shoulders. By putting Him in charge, we can breathe a sigh of relief, letting go and letting God.
