After a week of suffering with a cold (or flu, or possibly COVID), I’m beginning to hold my head a little higher. Add to that obligations for family, music activities, etc., and watching too much “war” in Ukraine and man’s stupidity, attending church livestream, trying to celebrate my son’s forty-second birthday through tissue encounters, today I’m looking forward to my sister’s extended visit and her birthday on Wednesday.
In need of peace and grace, I looked at my “Blessings for Every Day” calendar by the great Susie Larson and this is what I read. I so need this today, and in probably copyright prison I go, I share this with you and with my own soul:” May God lead you beside still waters and provide rest for your weary soul. May He set you right where your thinking is wrong. May He gibe you faith to embrace the YOU H’s making you to be. And may He gibvbe you wisdom to stand and fight when your promised land depends on it. You have everything you need in Him. May God’s rich blessings be yours tonight.”
Well, again, God meets me (us) right where we need to be. I need strength, peace, and so much grace this week. It’s a full one, and I’m not yet at full strength. So, may this passage enlighten, encourage, and embolden me to reach deep inside, through God’s grace, to find the peace and wherewithall to accomplish the week’s demands.
