Sharing the plenty in 2020 is greatly rewarding. My sister Ellen is visiting from Ohio, and she and I prepared meals for two people in my life yesterday, and we enjoyed doing so. It was a blessing to us and to two families with health concerns. Read my blog today at www.bettyjackson.net to hear more. God bless your day! Then, this morning, my daily verse confirmed that commitment, in a way. Here’s what it says: “I will praise You, Lord, for You have rescued me. You refused to let my enemies triumph over me. O Lord, my God, I cried out to You for help, and You restored my health.” Psalm 30:1-2. I take that to mean that apathy, self-sufficiency, a sense of thinking only of ourselves results in a lack of awareness of the needs of others. As Christians, we cannot allow that to be the life’s standard we assume. We are made to share, to show compassion, to honor others. In addition, my sister has been studying our family’s genealogy, and I have found a curiosity about my twenty-six grandfathers on one side of the family, and the ten generations on the other side. We know little but their birth and death dates, their locations, and such, but there were pastors, missionaries, and others who knew the Lord. What a great thing to know God has been part of the lives of our family since 1024 in England, and that because of her research, we can share that plenty with Kaley and Emily. God is good. Have a blessed day. Sharing the plenty in 2020 is greatly rewarding. My sister Ellen is visiting from Ohio, and she and I prepared meals for two people in my life yesterday, and we enjoyed doing so.
