I am so tired of news reports about the ISIS attacks. I am troubled to think they can hold the world hostage through their terrorist threats.
Here’s what the Eternal Father God says:
Psalm 11
“I trust the Lord for protection. So why do you say to me, ‘Fly like a bird to the mountains for safety! The wicked are stringing their bows and fitting their arrows on the bowstrings. They shoot from the shadows at those whose hearts are right. The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?’
But the Lord is in His holy Temple; the Lord still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth. The Lord examines both the righteous and the wicked. He hates those who love violence. He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds. For the righteous Lord loves justice. The virtuous will see His face.”
I trust that the Lord of the Old and New Testaments and present day and eternity is sovereign over all the affairs of men, and that ultimate justice is His. As we prepare to observe Passion Week, the death and resurrection of His Son for the sins of the world, I say to ISIS and other forces of evil, that the Lord reigns eternally and will see His will prevail. If this is to be the Armageddon, so be it. We know who attains the ultimate victory.
