Today I had my pre-op appointment before my scheduled hip surgery on Monday. I learned new things, as I have throughout this whole process. First, that my pain can be relieved by this operation. Second, there are experts willing and able to help. Third, God gives me the courage and insight to trust others. Fourth, there are new methods being used even since my husband’s procedures, and finally, that the physician’s assistant I met will be with me every step of the way, happy as I am that all will be well.
Psalm 116:5-7 says: “The Lord is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, He saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”
Yes, that is my testimony, and will be again after I walk through this upcoming journey. I can count on it, for my past experience has been a life of thankliving because God has guided and directed my steps these eighty-two years. The promise is not just for this life-journey, but for eternity. Amen.
