Day 7
I love one of my neighbors who often smiles and says, in response to my, “How are you, Jesse,” : “Too blessed to be stressed.” He lives the Christian life of joy and thanksgiving every day. He knows the strength of God’s love in His life, and I have begun using his comment with others. It’s amazing what a difference it makes in people’s attitudes, and in mine.
Today’s Scripture: “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; Come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; We are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise; Give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness through all generations. (Psalm 100)
Prayer: Let me grow so into the practice of thanksliving that even when I’m having what I think is a “bad” day, You determine that something will happen for which I can give thanks, if I take the time to recognize it, that very day. Even if it’s a generic, “Too blessed to be stressed.” If I practice thanksgiving often enough, let it become thanksliving. That’s the way to live. Thank You, Lord for all things seen and unseen. In Jesus. Amen.

“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:4-7)
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength.”

Day 7 Thanksliving Album: Items, pictures, sketches, photos showing a thankful attitude even in adversity, a legacy of memories, a place I’ll return when I need reminders of evidence of His love for me in every situation.
