Sharing the Plenty in 2020, after invigorating worship on the Lord’s Day, let us purpose to put prayer into action this week. 2 Timothy 1:6-7 says: “This is why I remind you to fan into flame the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” Whatever we face this week, challenges, illness, busy schedules, celebrations, or doctors’ visits, let us remember we cannot do anything in our own strength, but when we call on the name of Jesus, He shows us priorities and helps us see clearly where He places us for the good of His kingdom. Give the week to Him, and we’ll rejoice at the end of it to see what God does that we could not do on our own. Blessings.
LIGHTHOUSE by Betty Whitaker Jackson
Be my beacon, be my light
I’ll flee to You in prayer
That whether I look by day or night
You’ll always, Lord, be there.
Let me not lose sight of Your love, Dear Lord
Your providential arms
You’re calling us to You for shelter and care
And peace no other affords.
May your steadfast presence draw all to You
Your Kingdom come on earth
As it is in Heaven where we’ll soon view
Your Presence that draws us home.
