I am calling this blog “Truth We Can Count on, Peace and Grace.” It would be impossible to offer peace and grace to others, especially those who demean us and reject the gospel message, were it not for Paul’s strong reminder in Romans 8:1-2. So here are those verses to bolster us through difficult days. Because we are Christ’s heirs, we need nothing but to remember our eternal, not temporary status the world gives. While others treasure their popularity, wealth, influence, and bully pulpits, we put our trust in this truth: “There is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to Him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death…The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.” Now that is a truth we can count on, the peace and grace of our loving Father for all time and eternity.
